Basic G2 Series Screw Compressor

The APS Basic G2 series is the second generation of the Airpress basic series of screw compressors. Highly compact and versatile, these are extremely reliable and quiet machines. The APS 10 Basic G2 compressor is one of the largest models in the series. It is a single-unit screw compressor. Like all other second-generation compressors in this series, it features a more efficient screw compressor than its predecessor. This new screw compressor allows the compressor to deliver approximately 15% more compressed air. Combined with the greatest advantage of a screw compressor—100% continuous operation—the Basic G2 series is an extremely efficient compressor series.

The Basic G2 series has been designed to be reliable and efficient for all areas of application. Whatever your use and constraints, the APS Basic G2 compressor is your solution. If very low noise levels are your priority, but you have a low air requirement, the APS Basic G2 is still made for you. Indeed, with a noise level between 61 and 69 dB(A), APS Basic screw compressors are the quietest compressors on the market. Furthermore, to compensate for the low air intake, it is possible to add accessories such as a heating strip. Conversely, for higher air requirements, an external tank can be added. This gives you greater flexibility in your use and allows you to adapt the compressor perfectly to your needs.

The 10 hp APS 10 Basic G2 compressor features a C43 airend and an operating pressure between 5.5 and 10 bar.

Here, the C43 airend of the Basic G2 series replaces the C40 airend. Just as reliable as its predecessor, it is larger but has tighter tolerances. Thus, at the same power, the helical screws compress 15% more air, which is then propelled to the outlet. As a result, not only do you have a more efficient machine, but it also saves energy. The screw terminal is driven by a V-belt, with a power rating corresponding to the IE3 motor and an IP55 protection rating. This means it is protected against dust ingress, which could be harmful to operation. The advantage of this screw terminal is that the screws rotate in an oil bath, which reduces wear.

For the APS 10 compressor, the screw terminal speed is 2950 rpm and provides a discharge air flow of 984 l/min. Finally, for optimal performance, the ambient temperature should be between 1°C and 46°C.
